Galco’s Soda Pop Shop

If you are ever looking for a soda pop that no one has visit Galco’s Soda Pop Stop, 5702 York Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90042.  This place is really cool!  Soda’s from around the world and a number of brands I have not seen in years.  They must well known.  My sister who lives on the other side of the US told me about it after reading about it in the New York Times.

Christmas Eve…

Things are settling down. We just finished our turkey dinner and just realized that we forgot about our annual Christmas Eve seven fishes dinner.  Oh well, there is always next year…  The weather man says that tomorrow it going to be about 77 degrees.  I guess that makes it tough for Santa trying to land his slay.  I see the weather back east where my sister lives it is going to be rainy and in the 40s.  I guess there are some advantages living in southern California.

Our family wishes you all a very Merry Christmas, and hope for you a blessed New Year.

Happy Thanksgiving

“A good night’s sleep.”  Was my first suggestion of what we needed this morning when we woke up at 7:15AM.  Starting early to get ready for Thanksgiving was expected but my body had other plans.  Despite those plans, the turkey’s are now in the oven.  We have watched Macy’s parade on the television, so our day has started.  Later, we are going to our daughter’s family to eat and celbrate with them the remainder of the day.

Happy Holidays to you all.

This time of year fire can blacken a hillside quickly and because of this the firemen and women work quickly to put them out. On this fire a team of folks were dropped off by air on the top of this hill while two other sets of folks worked their way up the hill. As dangerous was it could of been it was put out very quickly with the neighbors cheering them on.
