I was sent this poem on a Valentine day’s card that was dated February 14, 1947.<\/p>\n
For every pain that we must bear,
\nfor every burden every care,
\nthere’s a reason.<\/p>\n
For every grief that bows the head,
\nfor every teardrop that is shed,
\nthere’s a reason.<\/p>\n
For every hurt, every plight,
\nfor every lonely, pained racked night,
\nthere’s a reason.<\/p>\n
But if we trust God as we should,
\nall must work out for our good,
\nHe knows the reason.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
